Frequently e-mailed inquiries and f.y.i.

I am no longer taking cake orders as of spring 2023 due to my retail cupcake commitments.

Please place your order at least one day prior to pick up.

Cupcakes for orders (six or more, flavors come in increments of six) are between $4.00 and $5.50 each, plus Maine sales tax (8%).

Same or next day orders may incur an additional rush fee of fifteen percent, but this will be discussed with you beforehand.

Please plan to pay for your order in advance of pick up.

I have extra cupcakes from orders most days of the week, and I would be happy to prepare an assorted six-pack with at least one day's notice.

Your cupcakes, by the numbers:

(a.k.a. why small businesses are labors of love!)

3 (hours): the length of time, on average, needed to prepare every dozen cupcakes. (Cannolis, blueberry lemons maple & chocolate cheesecakes and strawberry shortcakes are prepared over a forty-eight hour period!) Dozens with two flavors take roughly 4 and a half hours per dozen.*

65 (percent): the percentage of the cost per cupcake that accounts for ingredients and supplies.

9 (years): the period of time I have had the pleasure of operating Sweet Annie's of Maine.

3 (am): the time of day I begin mixing my first batch Monday through Saturday.

1 (day): the amount of notice I need to prepare most flavors. (See "3 (hours)" above for exceptions.)

3,290 (miles): the furthest, to my knowledge, that my cupcakes have traveled. (Spain! Gracias!)

*(My "cupcakes" are not traditional cupcakes, but single serving layered cakes, pies, tarts, crisps and crumbles. The only thing "cupcake" about them is that they are prepared - with love and great care - in simple white cupcake liners!)

I do what I love and I love what I do! Thank you for your interest!

Owner and Baker

am a self-taught baker and I love pleasing both my new and established customers with an exceptional product and second-to-none customer service.

My carefully honed recipes are all my own, and the best reward is hearing that they are enjoyed at various events and occasions around Maine.

I am active in local animal welfare advocacy and I donate a portion of my proceeds annually to the animal shelters in our community.

When I'm not in the kitchen, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, my horse, and my cat. Every now and then I get to read a good book, too.
